I’m delighted to announce that after a year of writing, editing, design-approving and proof reading my second novel, Pieces of Sky and Stone launches officially today as an eBook. The book is the sequel to my first novel Castles of Steel and Thunder, and concludes the story of Sysa Steel, who left Caithness for a mysterious fae realm in book one. For today only, you can buy the eBook of Pieces of Sky and Stone at the very special price of £1.99 (normal price £5.99) – click here to purchase. And if you haven’t read Castles of Steel and Thunder, for this weekend only, the eBook is available absolutely FREE (available via the same link). If you prefer print books, the paperback of POSAS will be launching soon, and I’ll keep you posted here with details. But if you would like to support me today for less than the price of a cup of coffee, I’d be so grateful for your support. The number of purchases of the eBook today will decide my ranking in the bestseller charts, and encourage Amazon to show my book to other people browsing the Kindle Store. Even if you don’t have a Kindle, you can still read the book on the free Kindle app on any other device.
Writing this book was a bittersweet experience for me, as it meant saying goodbye to a group of characters who have become my daily companions. I’m also excited, though, about sharing the end of this story with readers (although I’ll never say never, I’ve no plans to write any more on the series at this point). If you’re interested in the far north legends that inspired Sysa’s adventure, Pieces of Sky and Stone also includes a bonus section detailing some of the Caithness folklore that spans both novels. You can read more about where the inspiration for the novels came from in this post. And in this article, you’ll find an author Q&A with more information on my writing process and the books.
If you buy a copy of POSAS today and enjoy it, please don’t forget to leave a review on Amazon or Goodreads. Even if you don’t plan to buy the novel, sharing information about the book on social media is still a lovely way to show support.
I’ll leave you with the front cover and the back cover teaser.
It’s time for Pieces of Sky and Stone to fly off into the world.

In the fae kingdom of Fyrish, Sysa Steel is known as the light-bringer after stopping a giant’s reign of darkness.
But the past casts a long shadow, and Sysa is still healing from a broken heart.
The strange pull that once drew Sysa towards Brodie now forces her closer to Lavellan, and an uneasy alliance with her old enemy. A new threat sees them return to Caithness, where Sysa finds herself searching for a healing stone – and making a surprising discovery about her family’s past.
Things are never quite as they seem, though, and Sysa is soon caught in a web of betrayal and deceit when she is forced to fight for the future of her kingdom against an unexpected challenger.
Can Sysa unlock the secrets of an old prophecy in time to save Fyrish?
She’s about to find out that the giant Rogart was only just the start…
